This is probably the best guitar to begin with. It has a clear sound that is beneficial for any beginner. This was the guitar that I first learned on. Martin Guitar's, in general, stay clear from constant neck adjustments and loose tuning.

What is Scunny Guitar Playing?

Well basically its when you mess around with your friends doing acoustic versions of top 40 songs. I know...throw up. But it is fun. Dont Judge. Not everyone can breakout a well composed song. Although I would like to some day.

UPDATE: So I have been perfecting my bar chords in songs. WHAT IS A BAR CHORD? Well to me its when you learn how to fret. Fret is simply a more advanced step to take in guitar. Its alot of practice and alot of finger cramping.

SO MAYBE I NEED SOME INSPIRATION

I want to write a comedy act including some of my acoustic covers. I just dont know how to start. I feel that I am not ready but when will I be? When will it be the time when I start getting out there.

So let me just tell you that I am starting to go through the whole WHAT THE HELL AM I GOING TO DO WITH MY LIFE type bullshit. trust me, ITS SCARY!

I want to be an actor but I love marketing and guitar.

I just dont know what to do.

So for this weeks entry, I made a funny one minute acoustic cover of the Trey Songz hit "Say Ahh". I dedicate this to anyone who has a sense of humor.

Warning: Seriously Hot Ladies in the background.

I just want to be funny!

So I decided, If I ever were to perform it would be a funny and satirical performance. I mean I guess like Tenacious D and Stephan Lynch but I hate comparing myself to other people. I think that's the cool thing about guitar. You can give it an individual feel and flavor. Its not just about sounding like Jimi Hendrix. its about being yourself. I guess that's any art really.

I have been involved in many art forms including theatre, visual (when I was younger...I cant draw for shit now), dance, and now music. I relate strongest to acting. Comedy especially.

This past fall, I was part of a fantastic sketch comedy show called You're Naked with fellow friends Arthur Kapp, Matthew Levinson, and Andrea Marmalino. Check out this video. This was when I just started to play guitar as well.

Replace the Bad with the Tune...

As February marks my first FULL year of playing the guitar, I look back on moments throughout the year that guitar took control of any problem I had. It started from perfecting my major chords. Then minor. Then learning songs.

When I started to learn songs, that when I broke out the most. I started to create my own chord progressions and eventually made my first acoustic cover.
